Donations
We are asking for industry partners and charitable contributors to help support the cause. These contributions will be used to provide scholarships, grants, and stipends for students who cannot afford to enroll in after school programs. Funds will also be used to reach additional schools systems in Arizona and throughout the US that desire to integrate the curriculum and requesting professional development.

Makers Next Gen is looking for talented, creative, and dedicated coaches. Our coaches will train the next generation of makers by teaching in after school programs on the latest Maker Tools including 3D printers, little Bits, scratch, and App Inventor to name a few. You will leverage our project based material which has been designed to integrate CSTEM (Computing, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) curriculum with making.
You will be trained to use our Maker Tools and curriculum to interactively co-create with students, maintain a playful yet instructive learning environment, and lead student teams through hands on projects. You will be responsible for coaching at local after school programs at multiple schools. Candidate is responsible for check in at schools, set up, classroom instruction, classroom management, and curriculum feedback.

Job Qualifications
Our instructors should have:
- experience teaching K-12 students in a classroom, youth group or summer camp setting. This is a plus, but not a requirement.
- flexible schedule with availability between 1:00PM and 5:00PM M-F during the school year, this depends greatly upon school system and hours.
- dependability, promptness, and flexibility.
- reliable transportation.
- good rapport with children.
- ability to maintain discipline and order while coaching the young makers.
- understanding of basic scientific and engineering principles.
- love of tinkering, problem solving and teaching.
- bachelor’s degree in engineering/science and/or teaching-related field is desired (open to undergrad and graduate students, with completed degrees or degrees-in-progress).
- secure place to store Makers Next Gen hardware.
- an inquisitive, fun-loving personality. We like people who are curious about how and why things work!
